THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired and infallible word of God and without error in its original manuscript. It is the source of supreme revelation from God and the authoritative rule of faith and practice to our daily lives (2 Timothy. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-25; Hebrews. 4:12).

THE TRINITY

God eternally exists as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Godhead, being co-equal, relates to one another in perfect love and deference (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-2; 4:24; 5:19; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

THE FATHER

God is the Eternal Father, Creator of all things visible and invisible (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 102:27; Colossians 1:15-16; 1 Timothy1:17).

THE SON, JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is fully God existing eternally with God. He is lord of all things in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. Jesus is fully man, incarnate, who came to earth after being conceived by the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit and he lived a sinless life. He died an atoning death as a substitute for our sin and was exalted to the right hand of the Father. Through his resurrection God reconciled all people to Himself and freed all of humanity from the power of sin and the devil. He will return again to consummate and rule God’s Kingdom. All who are his bride shall reign with him. All who reject him shall suffer eternal destruction (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; John 1:1-2 & 14; 5:19; Acts 7:37-38; Romans 9:5; 1 Phillipians 2:9-10; Timothy 3:16; Titus 2:13).

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is fully God existing eternally with God. He is the giver of life. He convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness and judgment drawing all believers closer to God. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to expand God’s Kingdom through the distribution of spiritual gifts. Believers seek to continually be filled and transformed by the Holy Spirit into the image of Jesus (John 16:5-15; Romans 8:11; 18:16, 23-27; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Galatians 5:22-23).

HUMANITY AND SALVATION

Humanity was created by a direct and immediate act of God in order to have an intimate relationship with the Him. By transgression all humanity fell. The consequence of the fall is Sin. As such, humanity is unable to attain divine righteousness by work or effort but must be redeemed through the free gift of Grace which is made available by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross. Humanity is free to accept or reject the gift of Grace Jesus offers to all people. Only when believers accept the gift of Grace are they justified as children of God (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:4; Romans 3:25; 5:1-9; 12-21; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 John 1:8).

BAPTISM AND COMMUNION

Baptism and communion are two ordinances the Lord has given to the Church and are a testimony of our faith.

The practice of believer’s baptism by immersion is an outward response to faith in Jesus Christ. It is a testimony of the believer’s unity and identification with Him. Baptism is only to be performed upon believers in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38-41; 8:26-40; 10:47; 18:8; Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:12).

Communion is a sign of the covenantal relationship Jesus Christ initiated with all believers. It is in the breaking of the bread and the drinking of the cup that believers remember the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross. (Matthew 26:26-29; Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29).

THE FAMILY

Family is the God ordained foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood or adoption.

From the beginning marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenantal relationship. The functions of husbands and wives may differ but the man and woman are co-equal and both bear the image of God. Men are to love their wives. Women are to respect their husbands (Genesis 1:27-28; 2:20-25; Ephesians 5:24-33).

The natural overflow of the intimacy between a husband and a wife are children. Children, from the moment of conception, bear the image of God and are a blessing from the Lord (Psalm 127:3-5; Psalm 139:13-15).

THE CHURCH

Jesus is the Head of the Church. The Church is a community of believers gathering together to encounter and experience God and to serve one another as the body of Christ. The missional purpose of the church is to expand the Kingdom of God and to display his love and goodness wherever they meet or go (Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians12:4-6; Ephesians2:19-22; 3:14-19;4:12- 16; Colossians 1:18;Hebrews 10:24-25).
